Kotaro | Black Blood Brothers

[Kotaro doesn't like this place already. Even if it is exciting it doesn't have his brother. They kept telling him his life before was a dream, but it couldn't be because dreams weren't real and his brother was!

But confusion didn't stop Kotaro from exploring, he stuck to the shadows; sometimes tripping over his own feet and sometimes forgetting entirely that he was meant to be sneaking as he found himself distracted by new exciting things.] Ahh! This is great!

Ouch!

[Those last feet he tripped on wasn't his. They belonged to a small black haired girl.]

Be careful where you're going! Those are my feet! [She kneels down and rubs the offended bare foot.]

[There's a small girl in the Specularis bar, sitting at a table. She's munching on some potato fries and a bowl of what looks like chicken soup.

She's got an intent expression on her face, and she's listening to two bar patrons argue over something in the corner.]

Ahhhh! [Kotaro tumbled and looked round at the girl in surprise. She was still bigger than him, even if she wasn't as big as an adult.] I'm sorry they appeared out of nowhere!

[beifongfrenzy]

[It sounded like a little kid. A really little kid. Yep.]

It's okay I guess. [she gets a little less ruffled.] You okay there, kid?

[babysage]

[He jumps to his feet and nods] I'm fine! How about you? Why are you wearing no shoes? Do you not have any?

[Someone doesn't have his big brother with him to stop him asking a thousand invasive questions.]

[Toph didn't mind]

It's because I see with my feet. I can't see as well when I have shoes on.

[Rhyme is not convinced about that life-before-being-a-dream thing. The timer on her hand is gone, but they'd just completed their mission in the UG, so it wouldn't be there anyway. The only thing to do though was to do a little exploring. Maybe she could find Beat at least, if not Shiki or her partner. Nothing would get accomplished by just sitting around, after all.

If you're looking to find her in a particular place, you might find her just outside the Specularis bar, staring up at the planet in the sky.

[Toph was walking out of the bar, munching on a bag of fire flakes. She sensed someone standing not far away. Hmm. Are they lost?]

What's up?

You see with your feet? [A moment later he is crouched down peering at her feet, looking for hidden eyes.] How do you do that?

[beifongfrenzy]

I sense vibrations in the earth. [What is he-] It's an extension of earthbending. What are you doing?

[babysage]

Earthbending, what's that? [He's crawling around her feet still.] Looking for eyes.

[beifongfrenzy]

[Laughing] I don't have eyes in my feet, but I can feel everything around me. It's really cool. [She grins, lifting a foot and stomping, causing a small part of the street to bulge out.]

[babysage]

Wow! [He moved to examine the bulge in the street] That's amazing! You're so cool! Are you a Black blood? You must be! You're magic is really powerful!

[beifongfrenzy]

Aww, thanks. Yeah, I am pretty great, but what's a "Black Blood?" [Toph had a lot of power, but one thing she did not was much humility.]

[babysage]

You don't know? [How could she not know if she was one? Or maybe she wasn't... Kotaro blinked in surprise] Well some humans call us vampires but humans don't have magic and your magic is really cool!

[beifongfrenzy]

[Toph looked a bit puzzled.] But a lot of humans have bending. What's a vampire?

[babysage]

[Kotaro looked confused] What's bending? [He grinned at the next question showing fangs] I'm a vampire silly!

[beifongfrenzy]

[Toph is not impressed because she can't see the fangs.]

It's moving the elements, it's really fun and you can fight with it. [Then she tilts her head, reaching for his head to feel and smush it.]

[babysage]

[A certain vampire still hasn't worked that out yet. He also has not much danger sense so stepping closer to her hand.] You can fight with it? Are you really good at fighting?

[She laughs with her hands on her hips.] Are you kidding? I'm the best!

Really? That's awesome! I bet you couldn't beat my brother though! You're really cool though!

[ Despite all of his common sense screaming at him that going out in public, as this, this malformed, skeletal form, Emil is too hopeful to stay cloistered away. After all, if this is the real world, shouldn't it be better than the dream? He must have been born like this, here. He's not alone, even if Nier and Kainé were part of that dream. So bursting with optimism, the small floating skeleton child ventures forth into the bar. ]

Those look delicious. [ The spherical head the child's voice belongs to swivels to regard the bowl and plate, although since Emil is floating several feet off the floor, she won't know that. ] Could I try one?

[The unexpected voice made her jump, dropping one of the fries on the floor.]
